Sidney Barnes

Sidney Barnes has been involved in the music business since the early 60’s. He has performed on stage in concert and in the recording studio with some of the biggest acts in Soul & Rock ‘n Roll including Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Little Richard, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder, and many others. His songs have been recorded by The Jackson 5, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Supremes, Muddy Waters, and others. In 69 Sidney while living in Chicago and working with Chess Records, created a commercial radio jingle that became the longest running jingle on Chicago black radio and was turned into a 45 recording and later added to a CD compilation. Sidney who started out as an artist, and writer for Motown and partnering with George Clinton, is currently a major draw on the UK’s Northern Soul music scene. This is Sidney’s first solo Xmas single and he is very proud to present it to you.
