Yorel is a rap artist was born Jason Yorel Wilson in queens NYC. He appeared on the underground hiphop scene early 2006 with the classic album “Redemption”.
Losing his uncle LeRoy, co-pilot of United 93’ on 9/11/2001, it changed his life thus He told a story of pain & triumph that touched many all around the world. With little online marketing, word mostly got around from years of him slinging his albums on the streets from NYC, to Miami, New Orleans, Los Angelus, Hawaii, Amsterdam, Portugal, & London. Many fans awaited another album, but Yorel’s dreams of becoming a superstar became a nightmare when he saw the music industry for what it really was.
Thus he coined the name The Exile Child, years after he turned his back on the world.
Yorel had no plans on releasing another album, but when the Covid 19 pandemic pushed the the entire world into quarantine. He found himself locked in a small place with an old micc, MacBook & other recording equipment that had collected dust. He blew the dust off & one song became two songs, 3, 4, 5… thus the long awaited return of Yorel, The Exile Child is finally here. This upcoming album “When ink turns To Blood” is what happens
When you lock a man away for 100+ days all alone with nothing but time to create a product to awaken a vision he lost site of. As he engages the music industry again there’s a different mentality. If he didn’t like the game he would change it. From legendary Queens NY home of hip-Hop artist such as Run DMC, LL Cool J, Onyx, Nas, 50 Cent, Lost Boyz etc comes another lyricist with his eye on the throne, but this ones a little different.
