Raymond Patterson

N3buland was born Raymond Patterson in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1986. He fell in love with dance music while going to the ska8ing rink in the 90s shuffling to “Show Me Love”. Raymond started his musical journey playing the guitar with his dad showing him how to play “Smoke on Water” with his acoustic guitar. He was hooked but something was missing. Sitting alone in his living room at 3 AM, something came on his headphones that he couldn’t believe. It excited him so he had a hard time staying quiet. Raymond had heard Avicii for the first time…and his life was changed. He struggled for a while not knowing where or how to channel the enlightening moment he had that early morning and sat on the sidelines listening. But the sideline wasn’t good enough. He knew he had to be a part of this excitement and began to dig into the world of electronic music. That’s when Raymond decided to pursue creating electronic music himself and was reborn. The first couple years of this new journey was spent producing on his cell phone with just an app and later on began DJing. Raymond poured all his energy into producing, sometimes staying up for days creating music. He estimates he created 5,000 songs on his phone at a rate of 5 or 6 a day. Raymond switched from his phone to FL Studio, Virtual DJ, Serato, DJ Ableton, and any other program he could get his hands on. Since day one he utilizes a trial-and-error method. Raymond finds excitement in falling because he’s given the chance to get back up, to learn, and to grow. He continues to move forward with his dream and love for music refusing to join the 80% of the world’s population working a job they hate for the rest of their lives, without purpose, passion, or reason. As N3buland, Raymond has produced, remixed, and mashed numerous songs that can be found on Facebook, Soundcloud, Amazon, and more. He’s been featured on live streams in the UK where his virtual sets left fellow DJs and the audience in awe. N3buland has also produced a worldwide, 24-hour, digital rave festival under the title Divided We Stand that it still getting views. Under Divided We Stand, N3buland was featured in the New Year’s Eve Festival The Midnight Drop. His charity, N3bulove, was founded after hearing experiences of Domestic Abuse Survivors in his life and learning about the struggle of starting over. N3bulove sponsors courageous Survivors and donates profits from Livestream shows to help rebuild their lives. Raymond now has his eyes set on radio time and expanding his brand to an exclusive label. There is no doubt in his mind that he will continue to produce and DJ till the day he dies. Like his idol, Avicii said, “Right, where I was founded, is right where I’ll be found dead.”
